Tom Wilson joins the ride!

Tom Wilson, the grandfather of the Solar Rollers, rode with us in 1978 from the construction site of the Seabrook Nuke to the Rocky Flats nuclear weapons factory in Colorado to join Daniel Ellsburg on the Railroad Tracks in a Hiroshima Day demonstration to shut the bomb plant down. We did eventually succeed in closing Rocky Flats, but not before the surrounding countryside was contaminated with plutonium. Tom stood in front of the Arms Library in Shelburne Falls, Ma every Sat for many years holding a sign that read “Blessed Are the Children for they Shall Inherit Our Nuclear Waste.” It was an honor to ride with him again today!
